Dear Excel Church,

We are so excited to announce that we will be opening our Sunday service to people once again!  On Sunday, May 31st at 9:00 am, Excel Church will be opening our doors for the first time in more than two months.
Please note that our Livestream and Facebook Live broadcasts will continue to be aired every Sunday for those who are unable to attend in person.  We will also continue to have our Zoom Breakout Discussion Groups available for those who want to “Zoom” in and join the discussion immediately after service.

Although we are excited to resume our “live” worship service, rest assured that your health and safety are a top priority to us.  We are following our State and the CDC guidelines for reopening our facility and have a plan in place to ensure your safety.

We understand that attending service is an individual decision that should be done thoughtfully and prayerfully.  There will be no judgment on our part whether you decide to come or not, but we encourage you to prayerfully seek the Lord.  God is our shield and protector (Psalm 91) and we shouldn’t let fear be the controlling factor in our lives.  However, we know that every situation is different and God gives us wisdom to make the right decision when we ask Him (James 1:5).

Please read the following carefully so you are informed regarding our reopening.

Sunday Morning Check-In Procedures

Prior to entering the church, it is required that you check in with our greeters. You can expect these things:

1. Your temperature will be taken with a non-contact thermometer.

2. You will be asked to answer screening questions.

Restroom Guidelines

Restroom use will be limited to 1-2 people at a time. A restroom attendant will be assigned to disinfect each stall, toilet, sink, faucet, etc. after each use.

You may drop off your tithes and offerings in the offering plates in the foyer AFTER service. For contactless giving, you can give via PushPay or on the church website.

Screening Questions

  • Have you traveled to the mainland or internationally in the past 14 days?

  • Have you been in contact with a person known to have COVID-19?

  • Have you been sick in the past 14 days?

What About Refreshments?

Communion and post service refreshments are suspended until further notice to help enforce social distancing.

Church facilities will be cleaned and disinfected before and after each service with CDC approved cleaners. This includes but is not limited to: chairs, doors, door knobs, light switches, restrooms, etc. All trash will be taken out from the sanctuary and restrooms before and after each service.
